Motorola has announced today that the latest AndroiD 5.0 Lollipop version will be rolled-out this week on their Moto X (2nd Gen) smartphones in India. Motorola will also start soon updating their other devices with Lollipop OS.
The latest version of Android Lollipop brings all-new material design to life with a bold, new visual style. The new user interface is designed to enable better, more natural touch screen interactions and introduces vivid new colours, typography, and edge-to-edge imagery to make using your phone more fluid. It lets you catch up with notifications on your lock screen and even dismiss them without unlocking. Android L’s new “Downtime” and “Interruption” settings also allow you to decide what people and what notifications get through at times that you choose.
You have to follow the simple procedure to upgrade to Android Lollipop 5.0, which is detailed below:
1. Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.
2. Select “About phone”
3. Select “System updates”
4. Select “Download”. After the software is downloaded, select “Install”
5. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically
There is no charge for this upgrade other than the usual data connection charges. If you have trouble upgrading your handset’s OS, please visit motorola.com
