Motorola India has sent media invites for an event in New Delhi where it is expected to launch its mid-range Moto X Play which was unveiled in the month of July.
Motorola Moto X Play sports a 5.5-inch full HD display (1080×1920 pixels). It is powered by 1.7 GHz, 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-core processor coupled with 2 GB RAM and 16GB and 32GB option of internal storage expandable to 128GB via microSD card. This phone runs on stock-Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and is fuelled by powerful 3630mAh battery.
The other highlight of Moto X Play is that it incorporates 21 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5 megapixel front shooter.
This phone will support 4G LTE networks in India and also boasts of in-built NFC technology.
All eyes are set on its pricing, which in our opinion should be in the range of Rs. 20,000, if Motorla has to sell this phone in great numbers in India. With the onslaught of Chinese phones in the Indian market, it will be difficult for Motorola to sell this device at very high price in India despite the fact that Motorola devices offer better user experience and Android version employed by it is stock. Still, the sucess depends upon PRICE.
As usual, this phone will be sold exclusively on Flipkart.
Let us wait till 14th September to see what Motorola has up its sleeves.
