MTV in association with Swipe Telecom has introduced MTV Slate with 3G calling in India. It is available for purchase online and at stores across country at a price of Rs. 14,999.
MTV Slate sports a 7.85″ inch HD IPS touchscreen display measuring 1024X768 pixels with multi-touch support. It comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS pre-installed (no word on its upgradability to KitKat) and is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor supported by 1 GB RAM.
In terms of connectivity, Swipe MTV Slate provides an array of options including WiFi, 3G, EDGE, GPRS, HSPA, USB 2.0. It also allows you to make calls via 3G connection. The tablet comes with 5 MP rear camera and 0.3 MP front camera. All this is supported by an in-built non-removable Li-ion Polymer Battery with capacity of 3600 mAh and 8 GB in-built memory (expandable to 32 GB).
