Micromax is on a roll as far as launching new products are concerned. This company is on overdrive to flood the market especially in two, three tier cities and in rural areas where there products are in great demand. After launch of various tablets and smartphones, the company is in the process of bringing out two new tablets – Funbook Alpha and Funbook Infinity.
The Micromax Funbook Alpha will have following features:
- 7″ inch capacitive touchscreen
- 0.3 megapixel front camera
- 1 GHz A8 processor
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system
- 2800 mAh battery
- 4 GB Flash memory (which will be expandable up to 32 GB)
The tablet will be priced around Rs 6,500. Funbook Alpha will come bundled with enterprise features. The tablet will not have an HDMI out port unlike original Funbook.
The Funbook Infinity will have following features:
- 7″ inch capacitive touchscreen
- 1 Ghz A8 processor (same as of Funbook Alpha)
- 2 megapixel front camera
- 0.3 megapixel rear camera
- Dual front speakers
- 4000 mAh battery
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS
This tablet will be priced slightly higher than The Funbook Infinity.
Micromax has also plans to launch its two new low-cost phones – Micromax Ninja 3.5 and Micromax Ninja 4.0 – by the end of this month.
With so many products coming in the market, we wonder whether there is so much demand for local made tablets and phones and if this company is able to move lot of boxes then they deserve to be congratulated for pushing so many of their products in India.
