As expected, Motorola has launched in India three new devices – New Moto G, New Moto X smartphones and Moto 360 smartwatch. New Moto G with 16GB RAM is priced at Rs. 12,999 and will be available from midnight exclusively at flipkart.com. The remaining two devices will be available by the end of this month.
The Moto G features 5 inch HD (720X1280) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, with Adreno 305 450MHz GPU. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be extended upto 32GB via microSD card.
The second-generation Moto G is equipped with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash. The camera has features of 4xdigital zoom, burst mode, Panorama and tap to focus. It also has capabilities of creating slow motion video. This smratphone also houses a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
The new Moto G is a Daul-SIM smartphone and runs Google’s latest Android KitKat 4.4.4 OS. It is packed with 2070mAh battery, whuich is claimed to last upto 24 hours with mixed usage. This phone, like Moto E, features dual front speakers, above and below the display, and also comes with 2 mics.
For connectivity options, the new Moto G supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Micro-USB, GPS, GLONASS, and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 141.5×70.7×10.99mm, and weighs 149 grams. It is available in black and white color variants and one can customize the phone with different color Motorola shells.
The beauty of new Moto G is that it has impressive look and runs pure Android KitKat OS, like its earlier models. By pure OS, we mean that it does not have any other UI superimposed on it, which usually make the smartphones slow.The new Moto G will give tough competition to many Chinese smartphones especially Xiaomi as this will be readily avaialble and Moto is now established brand due to its performance and acceptability.
