OnePlus today announced the global launch of OnePlus 13R, its newest flagship smartphone from the OnePlus 13 series. This phone is beautifully designed and comes with Gorilla Glass 7i on both front and back, the first OnePlus device to feature this.
OnePlus 13R features a 6.78-inch (2780×1264 pixels) AMOLED display with 2160Hz PWM dimming, up to 4500 nits peak brightness and upto 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 4nm processor with Adreno 750 GPU which is paired with 12GB / 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB / 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. It is packed with 6,000mAh single-cell battery and with 80W SUPERVOOC Fast Charging.
For imaging, this phone is armed with 50MP rear camera with Sony LYT-700 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, OIS, 8MP 120° ultra-wide camera, 50MP 2x telephoto camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Dual Exposure Algorithm works on the main camera, delivering high-quality snapshots in fast-moving scenes. For portrait photography, the OnePlus 13R uses innovative OnePlus in-sensor zoom that activates when zooming in beyond 4x, ensuring ultra-clear images from a distance. The in-sensor zoom technology further enhances clarity, offering a distinct advantage for capturing detailed photos. For selfies, this phone is equipped with 16MP front camera with Sony IMX480 sensor and f/2.4 aperture.
This phone runs on OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15, and offers the advanced AI features designed to enhance productivity and creativity. This phone incorporates In-display optical fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor. It offers various connectivity options of Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11 be (2.4GHz + 5GHz).
The OnePlus 13R is available in two nature-inspired colourways – Nebula Noir and Astral Trail. The OnePlus 13R is the first OnePlus device to feature Corning’s newly-developed Gorilla Glass 7i, engineered to provide superior scratch resistance and durability. While the new glass is used on both the front and rear, the OnePlus 13R features an aluminum frame and a flat screen, with the body thickness OF 8mm. OnePlus 13R is also IP65 rated. It also has the same five star SGS Screen Reliability Certification as the OnePlus 13, and has undergone the same US military MIL-STD-810H grade product tests too.
The OnePlus 13R will go on open sale from January 13th 2025 and will be available in the 12+256GB and 16+512GB variants.
