So called giant killer OnePlus 6 which has crossed all barriers of pre-launch hype and launching globally on 16th May and on 17th May in India is going to face tough competition from Honor 10 smartphone with Artificial Intelligence features. Coincidentally, Honor 10 also will be unveiled globally on 15th May at an event in London and it will start selling in India from 16th May midnight exclusively on Flipkart.
On the specifications front, Honor 10 has very impressive features and is premium offering of Huawei’s online brand, Honor. The Honor 10 sports a 5.84-inch ( 2240 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ and 2.5D curved glass display with a notch and 19:9 aspect ratio. This phone is powered by Huawei Kirin 970 octa-core processor with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU and is mated with 6GB RAM with 64GB / 128GB internal storage. This phone is packed with 3400mAh battery with fast charging.
In the camera department, this phone is mounted with Dual Rear cameras of 16MP (RGB) with LED flash and 24MP (Monochrome) camera with f/1.8 aperture, Depth Focus and AI scene recognition, For selfies, this phone has 24MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and feature of AI beautification.
For security, this phone comes with fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock features. This is Dual SIM phone and offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C.
This phone looks quite attractive in images seen by us and has a curved glass body. This phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with layer of EMUI 8.1. This phone is expected to be priced Rs. 32K for the 64GB variant.
On the other hand, OnePlus 6 is speculated to feature 6.28-inch (2280 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio AMOLED display. It is confirmed that it will be powered by Snapdragon processor mated with 6GB RAM with 64GB/128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage. For imaging it is expected to have 16MP+20MP rear cameras and also 16MP front camera. Its battery is expected to be of 3300mAh with Dash charge and it will run Android 8.1 Oreo with OxygenOS 5.1. It will also have fingerprint sensor and face unlock features. Price of OnePlus 6 is expected to start at Rs 35,999 and will go upto 40K Plus depending upon the storage options.
We shall be able to compare both the devices once they are officially launched on 15th May. But at this stage it is quite clear that Honor 10 is quite capable of giving tough competition to OnePlus 6.
