OnePlus has announced that it will be launching OnePlus 8 Series of smartphones on 14th April. Due to COVID-19, OnePlus will unveil new smartphones via online event which will be hosted at 8:30 pm IST, 14 April, via livestream on the OnePlus official website and YouTube.
What we Know So Far About OnePlus 8 Series:
As regards namenclature of upcoming smartphones, it is for sure that they will be called OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro with more advanced features. Both the smartphones will be powered by the latest 2.84GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 865 processor with Adreno 650 GPU. Both the phones will support 5G. As far as other features are concerned, we have learnt from various sources and as per our conjectures, the OnePlus 8 will feature a 6.55 inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 8 Pro will sport a 6.78 inch Quad HD+ 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. These phones will come with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM with UFS 3.0 128/ 256GB of internal storage. The OnePlus 8 and 8Pro are expected to be packed with 4300mAh/4530mAh battery, respectively with Warp Charge 30T Fast Charging. These phones will support Dual Nano SIMs and will run on polished OxygenOS 10.0 based on Android 10.
Both the phones will have in-display fingerprint sensor. It is expected that 8 Pro might have Water resistant (IP68) feature also.
In the camera department, OnePlus 8 Pro is rumored to be armed with quad-camera set-up in the rear comprising of 48MP with Sony IMX586 sensor, 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with 120° ultra-wide lens, 8MP telephoto sensor and 5MP depth sensor. On the contrary, the OnePlus 8 is expected to be equipped with triple rear camera consisting of 48MP with IMX586 sensor, 16MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP depth camera. Both the phones are expected to flaunt 16MP or probably 32MP front camera for selfies.
The new series will come definitely with unique colors which one source describe as Interstellar Glow color of Black and Green. There could be other color options also. It will become clear when these phones are officially launched on 14th April.
