At an event in New Delhi, Oppo has launched today Oppo Reno 2 series of smartphones comprising of Reno 2, Reno 2Z and Reno 2F.
Oppo Reno 2 is the highest variant and sports a 6.55 inch (2400 × 1080 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED display with an aspecct ratio of 20:9 aspect ratio having Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on the front and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the back panel. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 730G procssor with Adreno 618 GPU. It comes with
8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB of internal storage. It is packed with 4,000mAh battery with support for VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 technology.
On the imaging front, this phone is packed with quad rear camera set-up comprising of 48MP camera with LED flash, Sony IMX586 sensor, f/1.7 aperture with features of PDAF, OIS, EIS, 13MP telephoto lens with features of 5x Hybrid Optical Zoom, 20X digital zoom, 8MP 116-degree Ultra Wide Lens and 2MP mono lens. There are various other camera features such as Ultra Dark Mode for low light photography, Portrait mode for both the front and rear cameras, Ultra Steady Mode for stabilisation in videos. Moreover, Bokeh effect for videos is also available. For selfies, this phone has 16MP shark-fin style elevating front camera.
It comes in Ocean Blue and Luminous Black colours and is priced Rs. 36,990. It will go on sale starting September 20 and pre-orders will start on September 10 on Amazon.in, Flipkart and via offline stores.
On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 2Z and 2F sport a a 6.53-inch (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) AMOLED display having 19.5:9 aspect ratio and screen-to-body ratio of 91.6 percent with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back panel. The Reno 2Z is powered by MediaTek Helio P90 SoC whereas the Reno 2F is powered by MediaTek Helio P70 processor and both the phones have 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Both the phones also are packed with 4000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.
The Reno 2Z is armed with 48MP rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, 8MP 119 degree Ultra-Wide sensor, 2MP Mono Lens and 2MP Portrait Lens. The Reno 2F has same rear camera set-up and difference is that primary camera of 48MP comes with Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor. Both the phones are equipped with 16MP centrally aligned pop-up front camera. The camera on both the phones have features of Ultra Dark Mode, Ultra Steady Mode for videos, AI Beauty mode and many more.
All the three phones offer connectivity options of Dual 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM, 3.5mm audio jack, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS and USB Type-C.
All the three phones run on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 on top. For security, all the three phones have an optical G3 in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature.
The Reno 2Z comes in Luminous Black and Sky White colors. It is priced Rs. 29,990 and will be available for pre-order from today on Amazon, Flipkart and offline stores. It will go on sale from 6th September. The Reno 2F price has not been revealed as it will be available in November.
Oppo has also introduced Oppo Enco Q1 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones priced at Rs. 7,990. The headphones use hybrid active noise cancellation, in which feed-forward and feedback microphones work together with a noise cancelling algorithm to maximally block out surrounding noise. The headphones are ergonomically designed, with earbuds that match the shape of the ear and a neckband that aligns with the contour of the neck to maximize comfort and stability. The headphones feature a simple and stylish appearance, a lightweight and comfortable body. The headphones use a USB-C charging port, and can continuously play audio for 15 hours with noise cancelling on, or 22 hours with noise cancelling off as claimed by Oppo.
