Panasonic India has launched today ELUGA I3 phablet with new 4G VoLTE offering. The device supports 4G VoLTE for rich data and voice experience and supports India specific LTE bands 3, 5 and 40. Priced at Rs. 9,290, the Eluga I3 is available in three different colors- Champagne gold, Rose gold and Marine blue.
The ELUGA I3 flauncts a 5.5 inch HD IPS display for wider viewing angles and is claimed to have daylight readability. The ELUGA I3 is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor combined with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of Internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB via micoSD card. The ELUGA I3 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the Panasonic FitHome user interface. The device is equipped with 5 MP camera on the front and a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash.
This phablet has Dual-SIM (4G/3G+2G) capability and is fuelled by a 2700mAh battery with optimized power management software ensuring longer operation. Besides 4G VoLTE, it also offers connectivity options of 3G + 2G, Wi-Fi Hot Spot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, Micro USB 2.0 and Global Positioning System (A-GPS). This phone has dimensions of 151mm x 77mm x 8.2 mm.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, “With the launch of ELUGA I3, we believe we will surely address some major consumer concerns by providing them with a better viewing experience and more productivity on-the-go”. Sharing details on Panasonic’s smartphone decision growth, Mr. Rana added that, “the mobile division contributed 15% towards overall India revenue, which we want to take to 25% by the end of the ongoing fiscal. The ELUGA I3 comes at the most appropriate time when mobile internet is on the rise and there has been persistent increase in demand for larger screens and video consumption.”
