Panasonic India today added a new member to its “T” series smartphone, the Panasonic T40, which is Dual-SIM smartphone and carries a price tag of Rs 5,990. The T40 is available in three colors which include the Bright Red, Dark Grey and White.
The T40 is bestowed with a 4 inch IPS display at a resolution of 800×480, and is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage expandable to 32GB using a microSD card. Panasonic T40 has a 5MP rear camera with Autofocus and LED flash.
The T40 phone runs the latest Android KitKat 4.4.2, and is packed with a 1500mA battery. For connectivity, this phone offers options of Bluetooth 4.0 supporting A2DP; Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi Hotspot. It comes with sensors like Ambient Light sensor, Accelerometer and Proximity sensor.
The T40 incorporates Panasonic’s intuitive Gesture Play interface, which allows users to quickly open apps directly from lock screen. It can be reverted to Android Launcher as and when the user sees fit. Panasonic T40 is also preloaded with some useful apps like the Pop-i player- a versatile video player that can be resized and kept anywhere on the home screen, allowing the user to use the phone simultaneously and the Music Café designed for single hand use.
