Majority of consumer electronics companies have planned to showcase their new products in the forthcoming IFA event which is taking place in Berlin, Germany from 31st to 5th September, 2012. We have come to know from various unconfirmed sources that some of the following products will be unveiled in IFA:
Windows 8 tablet from Samsung : The company is definitely going to announce a Windows 8 based tablet in IFA event. This news is based on the photo that the Samsung has posted on its official Facebook page along with the tagline phrase “IFA 2012, Berlin.” This photo displays a photo of an unidentified tablet and the caption reads “Ready to be smart”. This tablet from Samsung is expected to be equipped with an Intel chip and will run Windows 8 and not the Windows RT version. The tablet will also sports 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera.
VAIO tablet and Xperia SL smartphone by Sony : Sony may launch hybrid VAIO tablet and this convertible tablet will be called Vaio Duo 11. This tablet will feature 11″ inch touch screen and backlit keyboard and stylus pen. Sony is also expected to showcase its high-end Xperia SL smartphone at the event.
Samsung Galaxy Note II Phablet : This device is going to be launched by Samsung in a press event in Berlin before the start of IFA. This device will be equipped with Super Amoled 5.5″ inch display with 1280x720p resolution, 3G/4G connectivity, 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor, 8 MP rear camera, 16/32 GB internal storage, and will be powered by latest Android Jelly Bean OS.
Android-based smart camera by Samsung : According to the grapevine, Samsung will showcase its smart camera in IFA, powered by Android ICS and will be dubbed as Galaxy S camera and will come in two versions – Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi +3G. There are no reports about its exact specifications and its availability schedule.
HTC’s mid-range smartphone : Taiwan based HTC is expected to showcase its mid-range smartphone, which may be named PROTO. The handset will be new member of HTC’s mid-range One series and will feature a 4″ inch WVGA display, 5-megapixel camera, and 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. These specifications suggest the handset will follow on from the One V design, and could function as an international version of the China-only New V Desire.
