Pre-book The LG G5 Phone From 21st May in India & Get LG Cam For Free

LG G5, the world’s first modular smartphone, which was launched at MWC in Barcelona is set to be available in India in the month of June. LG India has announced today that LG G5 can be pre-booked in India from May 21, 2016 at mobile stores, LG brand shops and online exclusively at Flipkart. Customers can pre-book their LG G5 from May 21, 2016 to May 30, 2016 and all the customers who pre-book the LG G5 will get the companion device, LG Cam Plus absolutely free along with the smartphone. LG has not disclosed the price of LG G5, which is expected to be in the range of Rs. 50,000. However, Flipkart has listed this phone – 32GB varaint at Rs. 52,990.


The LG G5 has a sleek, metal aluminum uni-body featuring a Slide-out Battery and a Modular Type design. With its Slide-out Battery feature, one can easily swap out a depleted battery for a fully charged one in seconds. Its innovative Modular Type design gives this phone the flexibity to transform into a digital camera and Hi-Fi player.

The LG G5 features a 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS Quantum display (2560 x 1440 / 554ppi) with Always-on feature, the first on a main smartphone display. The concept of the Always-on Display was first introduced in the LG V10 as the Second Screen and now that feature has evolved on to the main display to show the time and date continuously even when the G5 is in sleep mode. This means that you can always see the time at a glance, even during important meetings or when your hands are full.

The LG G5 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 820 processor which offers advanced features such as 64-bit performance and Adreno 530 graphics. The LG 65 comes with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be extended upto 2TB via microSD card. This phone is packed with 2800mAh removable battery and runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The LG G5 has two cameras on the rear: Standard 16MP and Wide 8MP – one with a standard 78-degree lens and another with a 135-degree wide angle lens, the widest available in any smartphone. This phone also houses an 8MP front camera.

As part of the ecosystem, LG has introduced a wide range of companion devices, aptly called LG Friends, to deliver fun while providing a new mobile experience far beyond traditional smartphone boundaries. These devices are LG 360 VR, LG 360 CAM, LG Rolling Bot etc.
