
Qualcomm Technologies today showcased its vision for the future of smart and safe mobility at its Snapdragon for India: Auto Day event held in India. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, attended the event as as the Chief Guest and emphasized the government’s strong support for advanced technologies in transforming India’s transportation landscape.

The event brought together India’s leading automakers, tech experts, partners and policymakers – reinforcing Qualcomm Technologies’ pivotal role in shaping the future of mobility in India. Qualcomm showcased its Snapdragon Digital Chassis suite of solutions – Snapdragon Cockpit, Snapdragon Ride, Snapdragon Ride Flex, Snapdragon Auto Connectivity and Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud services – each tailored to India’s unique driving environment.

Qualcomm Technologies remains the trusted innovation partner for nearly all of India’s leading automakers and ecosystem players. Qualcomm Technologies’ automotive engineering having been present in India for over 10 years, establishing the country as a global engineering hub across four locations: Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and Gurgaon, and supporting its entire chipset and software roadmap for telematics, cockpit, ADAS, two-wheelers, and connected services.

India’s automotive sector is rapidly evolving with digital cockpit and connected vehicle innovations. Qualcomm Technologies highlighted its collaborations with key Indian automakers such as Maruti Suzuki on connected car technologies; Mahindra on Snapdragon Cockpit and Auto Connectivity for immersive in-cabin experiences, and Spark Minda on smart cockpit solutions for enhanced digital interfaces. These collaborations underscore Qualcomm’s role in driving innovation in India’s automotive sector.

India’s two-wheeler segment is undergoing a rapid transformation and Qualcomm Technologies is driving this change through its Snapdragon Digital Chassis solutions. It showcased its collaboration with Hero MotoCorp to enhance ride connectivity and intelligence, Ultraviolette with integrated connectivity into high-performance electric bikes, Royal Enfield with its connected cluster systems, and Pricol to power next-gen telematics and connected cluster systems for upcoming vehicles. These collaborations are set to revolutionize the riding experience in India with features like real-time connectivity, enhanced safety, and intelligent dashboards.

At the event,will.i.am, creative innovator, tech entrepreneur and Founder & CEO of FYI.AI was joined by Nakul Duggal and Don McGuire, SVP & Chief Marketing Officer, on stage by to discuss FYI RAiDiO and Melodic Drive features optimized for Snapdragon Digital Chassis-powered devices. Demonstrated in collaboration with the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e luxury electric vehicles, RAiDiO.FYI and Melodic Drive teamed with Qualcomm Technologies’ sensing software and audio processing, leveraging on-device personalization and secure, low-latency performance to support ideation, content creation and real-time vehicle and drier collaboration, turning the car into a virtual musical instrument with the driver in control of the performance. Driver motion dynamics, including acceleration, braking, and steering are incorporated to create new musical expressions in real-time.

At the event, Snapdragon Ride in India was introduced which is Qualcomm’s advanced driver assistance system platform ideal for India’s road conditions. Qualcomm Technologies has partnered with numerous automotive companies for its automotive ecosystem including Autolink, Bosch, Desay, Harman, Mobis, Thundersoft, Tata Elxsi, Valeo, Visteon and ZF.
