At an event in New Delhi, Xiaomi India has launched today three smartphones in India – Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 12 5G.
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is the first phone in India to come with the 200-megapixel pro-grade HPX Sensor which is combined with Xiaomi’s super optical image stabilization (OIS). This sensor has feature of atomic layer deposition (ALD), an Ultra-Low Reflection Coating which claims to cut down on glare and ensures good snaps even in complex lighting situations. Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G comes with the Sony IMX 766 50-megapixel main sensor along with optical image stabilization (OIS) for better low light performance and steady videos.
Both the Pro Phones also come with with 8-megapixel ultrawide sensors with a field of view of 120 degrees, as well as Xiaomi’s Pro Vlog mode and Film Frames to personalize your images as well as videos. Both the Pro Phones also have 2MP macro camera and 16MP front camera with f/2.45 aperture.
Both the Pro Phones flaunt a 6.67 inch full HD+ Pro AMOLED displays ( (1080×2400 pixels) with 120Hz Adaptive refresh rate. These 10-bit Pro AMOLED displays lend the devices more than a billion colors, with HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision, as well as support for DCI-P3 color gamut.
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G comes with a 4980mAh battery while the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G has a 5000mAh battery. Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G packs in a 67W charger that delivers a full day’s charge in just 15 minutes, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G comes with a 120W HyperCharge adapter that charges the phone to 100 percent in a mere 19 minutes.
Both the Redmi Note 12 Pro phones are powered by Octa Core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 6nm processor with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G has 3000mm2 Vapour chamber for better cooling and Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G comes with 12-layer graphite layers for cooling. These phones come with 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage and 8GB / 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. Both the phones support Dual SIM and run on Android 12 with MIUI 13.
Both the phones have side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor. These phones are Dust and Splash resistant (IP53). Both the phones offer 5G Suuport for 10 bands (n1/3/5/8/28a/38/40/41/77/78) and offers other connectivity options of Bluetooth 5.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz).
On the design front, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G comes with 3D Arc Design, featuring a GlassSandwich cover. It blends a premium look and minimalistic design with a spectacular Staggered Eyes Camera Deco design. The device features flat edges, which provide more surface area for fingers to rest on. Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is available in three glass finishes: Arctic White, Ice-Berg Blue and Obsidian Black. Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G has same design philosophy and comes with a special Stardust Purple finish, which is unique to it. The Redmi Note 12 Pro comes in Stardust Purple, Frosted Blue and Onyx Black colours. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is 8.9 mm thin and the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G is 7.9 mm thick.
Finally, Redmi Note 12 5G is the most economical model in the series. It features a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display (1080×2400 pixels) with a 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1200 nits as well as Gorilla Glass 3 protectio. This phone comes with a triple camera set-up comprising of a 48-megapixel main sensor, 8 megapixel ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro camera. For selfies, this phone has 13MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
This phone is powered by the new Octa-Core Snapdragon 4 Generation 1 chipset which is combined with 4GB / 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage which can be extended up to 1TB with microSD card. This phone is packed with 5000mAh battery with 33W charger in the box. This phone also comes with Dual 5G SIM support. It also has a 3.5 mm audio jack and an IR blaster and has an IP 53 rating to protect it from splashes. It also has Side-mounted fingerprint sensor. This phone runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13 and offers various connectivity options besides 5G such as Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz).
The Redmi Note 12 5G comes in three colors of Frosted Green, Matte Black and Mystique Blue.
