Redmi India, a sub-brand of Xiaomi India, today unveiled the Redmi Smart TV Series in 32” & 43” screen sizes. Redmi Smart TV features an FHD display (1920 x 1080) on 43” variant and HD ready display on 32” variant (1366 x 768) with 178° viewing angle. Both the Smart TVs can reproduce up to 16 million colors. For producing true-to-life colors, Redmi Smart TV Series features in-house image-processing algorithm, Vivid Picture Engine.
Redmi Smart TV Series is equipped with 20W speaker setup with Dolby Audio, supporting Dolby 5.1 surround sound. It also sports Dolby Atmos via ARC Port that is claimed to deliver theater-like impressive sound.
The Redmi Smart TV Series runs on the latest Android 11 TV platform along with an interactive Patchwall 4. Users will have access to over 5,000 apps and games from Google Play along with a built-in Chromecast. Patchwall interface brings the best of entertainment features together, along with an IMDb Integration. With just one click from the movie or show page on PatchWall, users can access information from the IMDb database, including episode listings, images, detailed descriptions, year of release, genre, and more, across 30 content partners. Patchwall 4.0 supports 15+ different languages and brings easy access to Live TV, along with 75+ free live channels that can be directly accessed from Patchwall. With the Mi Home app, now accessible directly via User Centre, users can access and control their smart connected devices straight from the TVs.
Redmi Smart TV Series also packs a google assistant voice search button and Quick mute and Quick Wake on the remote. With the QuickMute, users can mute the TV by simply double-tapping the volume down key and wake the TV from sleep mode within 5 seconds using the QuickWake feature.
The Redmi Smart TV Series features a 64-bit quad-core processor that comes paired with the quad-core A35 CPU and Mali G31 GPU. These TVs come with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM.
Redmi Smart TV Series offer Dual-Band Wi-Fi with 2.4GHz/5GHz on HD/ FHD displays, MIMO technology to bump the speed, and uses the latest Auto Low Latency Mode, for smoother streaming and gaming. Both the televisions will be able to cast locally saved applications using Miracast.
These TVs also support Bluetooth 5.0 for a longer range for the connected Bluetooth devices with four times the range and eight times faster data transfer compared to its predecessor BT 4.2. In addition, the TV sports two USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, an AV port, and a 3.5 mm jack.
In order to reduce the environmental footprint, Redmi has introduced repurposable packaging for their TVs. The users can assemble their boxes for various other uses, such as storage units, small tables or cat houses.
Redmi Smart TVs will be available at a starting price of INR 15,999 for 32” and INR 25,999 for 43” variants, respectively, across Mi.com, Mi Home, Mi Studio, Amazon.in and across all offline retail partners.
