After grand success of Galaxy Note and its successor the Galaxy Note II, Samsung has launched today another big screen smartphone – Galaxy Grand, which is younger brother of Galaxy Note II and looks like Galaxy S III, and also carry many features of above devices.
Samsung Galaxy Grand features 5-inch screen with WVGA TFT display, runs Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. The phone has an internal memory of 8GB (user memory of 4GB), which can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. The Galaxy Grand has 1GB RAM. This phone has an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera which supports zero shutter-lag and ultra-quick camera start-up. It comes packed with a 2,100 mAh battery.
The Samsung GALAXY Grand is Dual SIM smartphones. Its innovative Smart Dual SIM feature provides total communication flexibility, allowing users to manage two phone numbers from a single phone. It is possible to receive calls on one SIM number while taking a call from the other, ensuring efficient management of personal and work commitments without ever missing a call. Smart Dual SIM also offers the flexibility of selecting different mobile billing plans for either SIM which allows switching between them to make the most of competitive call and data plans.
The GALAXY Grand comes with various intuitive features that enable the consumers to seamlessly engage with the device. The Smart Stay uses the front camera to prevent the device from going into standby mode while it detects a user in front of the device.

Samsung Galaxy Grand will be available in the stores across the country from the first week of February for Rs. 21,500. The phone is available in Elegant White and Metallic Blue color options.

The company also claimed that it enjoys 40 percent market share in the Indian handset market and 45 percent share in the Indian smartphone market. Samsung has ambitious plans to offer number of devices across various price points in the current calendar year.
