Samsung has announced the launch of the 2016 edition of the highly successful Galaxy A smart phones – Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016). The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) is priced at INR 33,400 while Galaxy A5 (2016) has a price tag of INR 29,400. Both the models are available in 3 colours- Gold, Black & White. These two newly announced phones are equipped with sophisticated glass and metal design, an advanced camera and long-lasting battery.
The Galaxy A7 (2016) and the Galaxy A5 (2016) are armed with a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera, both with f1.9 aperture, for capturing bright and clear photos even in low light conditions. The camera also comes with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to ensure blur free photographs. The front camera incorporates features such as Palm Gesture selfie, Wide angle selfie and Beautifying effects to help clicking great looking selfies or groupfies.
The Galaxy A7 (2016) features a 5.5 inch FHD Super AMOLED display whereas the Galaxy A5(2016) sports a 5.2 inch FHD AMOLED display. Both the phones have narrow 2.7mm bezel to ensure the overall size of the smartphone is very comfortable to hold.
Both the Galaxy A7 (2016) and the Galaxy A5 (2016) are driven by an 1.6GHz Octa-Core Processor combined with 3GB RAM for A7 and 2GB RAM for A5. Both the phones have 16GB of internal storage, which can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card.
Both the phones have enhanced LTE Cat6 network capability and are claimed to provide blazing fast downlink (up to 300 Mbps) and uplink (up to 50 Mbps) speeds. In addition, the Galaxy A7 (2016) & Galaxy A5 (2016) come equipped with an easy to use fingerprint sensor technology.
Both the phones have Dual-SIM slots (Nano SIM) plus separate SD card slot. The new A7 is packed with 3,300 mAh battery whereas the new A5 is fuelled by a 2900mAh battery. Both the phones have fast-charging feature. Both the phones run on Android Lollipop 5.1 OS.
