Samsung Launches Galaxy On5 & On7 Smartphones Starting At Rs. 8,990



Samsung has launched today two economical smartphones to cash in on Diwali buying spree. These smartphones are Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7, and  have almost identical features except scree size, battery, processor and camera specifications. These are available in Black and Gold colors. These phones have metal-styled frames and sport faux leather back covers.


The Galaxy On5 is priced Rs. 8,990 and Galaxy On7 has a price tag of Rs. 10,990. Both the phones will be sold exclusviely by Flipkart from today midnight.

Galaxy-On-5The Galaxy On5 features a 5-inch display, whereas Galaxy On7 comes with 5.5-inch display . Both the handsets come with HD Display (720×1280 pixels) resolution. The Galaxy On5 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor whereas Galaxy On7 is packed with 1.2GHz Quad-Core, Snapdaragon 410 procesor. Both the devices come with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory which can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card. Both the phones run on Android Lollipop 5.1 OS.

Galaxy-On-7The Galaxy On7 is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash. This phone also houses a 5-megapixel front camera. On the other hand, the Galaxy On5 has an 8 MP rear autofocus camera and a 5MP front camera. The camera of both the phones have capability of full HD 1080p video recording.

The Galaxy On7 is packed with a 3000mAh battery whereas the Galaxy On5 gets its juice from 2600mAh battery. According to Samsung, the batterry of On7 and On5 are capable of providing 12 hours and 11hours of 4G internet usage, respectively. Both the devices support Indian 4G LTE bands and Dual Micro SIM. Both the phones come with Accelerometer and Proximity Sensor.

Both the Galaxy On5 & On7 have connectivity options of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS etc.

The On7 have dimensions of 151.8×77.5×8.2mm and its weight is 171 grams. The Galaxy On5 measures 142.3×72.1×8.5mm and weighs 149 grams.

Both the phones incorporate the feature of Ultra Data Saving mode, which according to Samsung will result saving of 50% in data consumption while streaming movies and music.


Both the phones come pre-loaded with Mix Radio App which boasts of 30 million tracks in 12 Indian languages including Bollywood as well as international catalogues. The users can also download and listen to music in offline mode without any worry of network connectivity, which is major issues in India.
