Korean giant Samsung has launched today second generation premium and world’s slimmest Notebook series 9 alongwith Notebook series 5 and 3 laptops.
Samsung has invested 9,000 hours of design work and 24,000 hours of R&D to develop super-slim,compact and thinnest Notebook 9 series laptop. It has a 13″ inch screen, and measures only 12.9 mm and weighs just 1.16 kg, which is 28 % smaller than its predecessor. With a hefty price tag of Rs. 1,02,990, it comes with the new state-of-the-art Intel Core i7 1.90 GHz quad-core processor, 4 GB RAM, 256 GB solid state drive (SSD), and extensive battery backup of up to 9 hours.
Speaking at the launch in New Delhi, Ranjit Yadav, Country Head, Samsung Mobile and IT, said, “The new Samsung Notebook Series 9 represents the ultimate in Samsung craftsmanship towards precision engineering and premium design. The new Series 9 embodies the originality and heritage of its predecessor while eliminating unnecessary factors. The refined aerodynamic design of the new Series 9 represents the best of Samsung’s design with top performance and functionality.”
Samsung also showcased the Notebook Series 5 550P. This notebook comes with Intel’s 3rd generation i7 quad-core processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 2 GB graphics card, JBL optimised speakers with subwoofer, Blu-ray drive and up to 2 TB HDD. Thanks to Intel’s 3rd generation Core i7 quad-core processor, the overall performance of the Notebook Series 5 550P has improved upto 25 % compared to the 2nd generation CPUs while consuming 20 % less power. This 15″ inch Notebook weighs just 2.5 kg and is priced at Rs. 62,990.
The last product announced was Samsung Notebook Series 3 350. This notebook sports the 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processor and delivers up to 7 hours of battery life. For optimum mobility, it comes with an anti-reflective display, which produces sharp,clear images both indoors and outdoors and its lightweight and portable design features a slim bezel.
Samsung Notebook Series 3 350 will be offered in titan silver, lagoon blue and candy pink colour options and will be priced at Rs. 48,490.
With the launch of the Samsung Notebook series, Samsung has a range of 32 models priced in the range between Rs. 21,990 to Rs. 102,990. “Based on our new Note PC launches and our retail expansion, we are confident of doubling our NotePC business this year”, stated Mr. Yadav.
