After launching tbook computing device, Smartron, India’s technology company has launched today tphone. Smartron tphone is priced Rs. 22,999 and will be available in the month of June. Registration for tphone has started on gadget360.com and smartron.com.
This phone will be available in four colours on matte metal fine finish namely Classic Grey, Metallic Pink, Steel Blue and Sunrise Orange. The tphone is an ultra thin smartphone having a weight of just 149 grams and is designed in bold dual tone scheme.
The tphone sports a 5.5 inch 1080p Full HD (1920X180 pixels), 401 PPI with super AMOLED display. It also boasts of Gorillas Glass 3 with Apical Assertive Display technology for outdoor visibility. This phone is powered by Octa-Core, 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor combined with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage that is further expandable to 128GB via microSD card.
The tphone is equipped with 13MP rear camera with ISOCELL sensor, dual flash and has features of 6 element lens, zero shutter lag for crystal clear pictures. It houses a 4 megapixel front camera with large 2µm pixel size for best selfies even in low light.
This is a Dual SIM smartphone (Micro+ Nano) and runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 OS. The tphone is packed with a 3000mAh lithium-ion polymer battery. It comes with Type C charger with Quick Charge 2.0 for fast charging of the device. This phone supports 4G LTE networks of India and also offers standard connectivity options.
This phone also incorporates noise cancellation technology with inbuilt 4 mic array making your voice conversation loud and clear as claimed by the company. This phone also has specially designed sound chamber with DTS premium sound & DTS PlayFi for giving the users very exhilirating sound experience.

The tphone comes with impressive hardware except that it does not have fingerprint reader, which has almost become a standard feature on almost all the smartphones especially in the phones of Rs. 20,000 upwards. How tphone will take on Chinese phones especially Oppo F1 Plus, Coolpad Max launching on 2oth May and Xiaomi M1 5 etc., which are now established brands in India, is anybody’s guess. One should not forget that their are also variety of options of Samsung devices in the range of Rs. 20,000 upwards. Whether the buyers will respose faith in a new brand for a price of Rs.23,000 is a question mark, according to us and only the coming days will tell how the Indian buyers respond to the tphone.
