Sony India has launched today selfie-focussed smartphone, Xperia M5. This phone has a price tag of Rs. 37,990 and is available in Black and Gold colors.
The USP of Xperia M5 Dual is its imaging capabilites. It is equipped with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony’s Exmor RS sensor and ‘selfie cam’, with integrated autofocus and Full-HD video recording to enable you to take exquisite selfies. The front camera also incorporates applications such as Face in picture, AR mask and Style portrait.
This phone has a 21.5-megapixel rear camera with Hybrid autofocus, which according to Sony provides fast and accurate autofocus shooting and you can capture the moment as it happens. The new Hybrid AF technology packs in both Phase Detection AF and Contrast Detection AF, and at a speed of 0.25-second that is industry leading standard, as claimed by Sony. The back snapper also has capability of 5x image zoom and 4K video recording.
The Sony Xperia M5 features a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. It is powered by a 2GHz, 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor combined with 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded upto 200GB via microSD card. It is packed with a 2600mAh battery.
This phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is waterproof and dust-tight. Acccording to Sony, it is also protected against accidental splashes, so you can use your Xperia M5 under the rain also. It comes with a capless USB port for added convenience and easy charging.
This phone has various connecctivity options such as 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/EDGE etc.
