Sony India has announced today the launch of its Xperia T3 smartphone in India at Rs. 27,990. This smartphone was announced by Sony in June and will go on sale in India from 28th July.
Of late, it has become a fad to market the smartphone on its slim and weight features because this toy remains in the hands of the users for most of the time and the slimness really matters. To catch on with this trend, the Xperia T3 has been introduced, which the company claims “is a light and ultra-slim sensation that’s just as pleasing to hold, as it is to look at”. The Xperia T3 is just 7mm thick and weighs 148 grams. We can’t call Xpreia T3 the slimmest smartphone because Gionee of China claims that their Elife S5.5 is the slimmest smartphone in the world with thickness of 5.5 mm.
The Xperia T3 comes in stainless steel frame and the back cover is designed with matte material. The T3 will be available in three colors: white, black and purple.
The Xpreia T3 sports a 5.3 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) TRILUMINOs Display with BRAVIA Engine 2, and is driven by Snapdragon 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Quad-core processor, paired with 1GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage extendable upto 32GB via microSD card. This smartphone runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2 OS, and is fuelled by a 2500 mAh battery with Battery STAMINA Mode which is claimed to give standby time of up to 688 hours; music listening time of up to 63 hours 30 min; video playback time of up to 8 hours 14 minutes and talk time of upto 12 hours and 46 minutes, depending upon the network.
The Xperia T3 offers connectivity options of GSM GPRS/EDGE (2G), LTE (4G), Wi-Fi Miracast, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, USB High speed 2.0 and Micro USB support. The Xperia T3 is equipped with an 8 MP rear camera with auto focus Sony Exmor RS for mobile image sensor and Video recording of 1080p. It also has 1.1 MP front facing camera with 720P shooting.
The Xperia T3 is packed with Cyber-shot leading camera expertise with Exmor RS, which Sony claims will allow you to take exceptional pictures even in challenging lighting conditions. Moreover, with HDR for video feature, you can shoot beautiful films, even when backlit and with SteadyShot, all your photos will come out smooth and distortion-free. The Xperia T3 comes with very useful camera apps such as AR effect to add new sound effects and fun animations to your photos and videos, Social Live, Creative effects, Timeshift burst and Portrait retouch.
The Xperia T3 also has Transfer app that helps you move your contacts, photos, bookmarks, apps, music, messages and much more from your old Android or iOS device to your new Xperia T3.
