Sony India has dropped prices of its Xperia X & Xperia Z5 by Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 8,000 respectively. These phones were launched at very high prices earlier. The Xperia X will now be available at MRP 38,990/-, which was earlier priced at MRP 48,990/- at the time of its launch in May 2016. The Xperia Z5 Premium is now priced at MRP 47,990/-, which was earlier available at MRP 55,990/- when launched in October 2015. The new price is effective from 1st September, 2016.
The Xperia X features a 5 inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Triluminos display. The Xperia X is driven by Qualcomm Snapdragon 64-bit Hexa-core 650 processor combined with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, expandable to 200GB via microSD card. It is equipped with a 23 MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor. The rear camera has pulse LED flash and predictive hybrid autofocus. This phone houses a powerful 13 MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies. This phone is packed with 2620mAh battery. This phone also incorporates fingerprint sensor on the home button.
The Xperia Z5 Premium features a 5.5 inch 4K UHD (3840×2160), 806 PPI, Triluminos display to enable you to view videos or photos in rich, vibrant 4K detail. You can also connect this phone to the big screen either wirelessly via DLNA or with MHL 3.0 to enjoy your content on a 4K TV.
The Xperia Z5 Premium is driven by Snapdragon 810, 64-bit Octa Core processor coupled with 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage with the provision to extend it to 200GB via microSD card. It is packed with 3430 mAh battery with quick charge capability, which eliminates the need of regular charging. With quick charge feature, you can get usage time of 5.5 hours with just 10 minutes of charging.
Both the phones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and incorporates Sony’s smart battery management to deliver up to two days battery life as claimed by the company. Both the phones have dual SIM capabilities and are capable to support 4G LTE network.
