image001-1Sony India today launched its flagship smartphone – Xperia XZ which comes with very powerful camera features. The USP of Sony Xperia XZ is its 23MP main camera with triple image sensing technology. This phone has MRP of Rs. 51,990 with Best Buy price of Rs. 49,990. It will go on sale in India from 1st October via retail outlets and online exclusively on Amazon.in. On pre-booking of this phone, the customers will get SmartBand Talk – SWR30 worth Rs. 8,990 free of charge alongwith the phone.

The highlight of this phone is its 23MP rear camera with triple image sensing technology which comprises of Image Sensor having Predictive Hybrid AF which intelligently predicts and track subjects in motion for blur-free results. The Laser Autofocus Sensor is capable of capturing blur-free photos in challenging low light conditions and RGBC-IR Sensor is claimed to accurately adjusts the white balance based on the light source in the environment for capturing true to life colours. The 23MP rear camera also comes with f/2.0 lens, 5-axis stabilizatio and 4K video recording capability.

It is also mounted with 13MP front camera with 1/3” Exmor RS sensor and 22mm/90-degree wide angle lens for capturing selfies even in low-light and group selfies.

This is the world’s first smartphone which is having 5-axis video stabilization feature on both of its front and rear cameras which enable you to shoot stable video recording and playbacks. According to Sony, camera shakes are compensated in 5 different directions even when walking or capturing extreme close-ups.

As far as its other features are concerned, this phone features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by Quad-Core Snapdragon 820, 64-bit, 14nm processor with Adreno 530 GPU combined with 3GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS. This phone comes with Hybrid Dual SIM support. As usual for Sony, this phone is also dust and water resistant with IP65/IP68 rating.

This phone has a full metal body and also sports fingerprint scanner which is integrated with the power/wake button. It gets its juice from 2,900mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging and comes with a Quick Charger UCH12 in the box. Sony claims that 10 minutes of charging can provide upto 5.5 hours of normal usage.

On the connectivity front, this phone provide options of 4G, VoLTE, ViLTE, VoWiFi, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. It comes with Type-C USB for easy charging.

Sony is also bundling offers which include Sony LIV – 3 months subscription worth Rs.349 and Modern Combat 5 Gameloft credits worth Rs.780.
