At an event in Shanghai, Vivo has annoucned today Vivo NEX 3 series of smartphones comprising of 5G and 4G version.
Vivo has introduced Nex 3 with Waterfall FullView Display of 6.89-inch (1080 × 2256 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED display with 100% P3 wide color gamut, HDR10 support and screen-to-body ratio of 99.6%. The display has curved edges and according to Vivo, the display’s multi-scenario ambient light on the curved screen’s edge opens the door to a new audiovisual adventure with music rhythm recognition and unique notification reminders. An ambient light show can take place, for instance, when users play music or when calls are incoming.
The NEX 3 hides physical buttons from sight, creating a seamless, touch-controlled unibody design. Courtesy its X-axis Haptic Vibration motor, Touch Sense can respond with haptic feedback just like physical buttons for some functions.
This phone is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 Plus processor with Adreno 640 GPU. It is packed with 4500mAh battery with Super FlashCharge 44W and C-DRX power-saving technologies for enhancing the life of the battery. This phone incorporartes Vapor Chamber Cooling System to keep the phone cool even with heavy 5G usage. NEX 3 is equipped with 8GB/12GB RAM+256GB storage (UFS 3.0).
On the photographic front, the Nex 3 is armed with triple rear cameras set-up of 64MP main camera, 13MP wide-angle camera and a 13MP telescopic camera. For selfies, it has a 16MP Elevating Front Camera.
For security, this phone has in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature. This phone offers connectivity options of Dual 4G VoLTE/5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C. It also supports global frequency bands and NFC. To render an immersive audio experience, this phone also has AK4377A audio chip.
The NEX 3 series come in Black and white colors and will be available in the coming months in Asia Pacific, Southeast Asia and other markets. In China, it will go on sale from 21st September at starting price of US$ (approx Rs. 51K).
