Vivo has announced Vivo S5 smartphone in China. Highlights of this phone is its Diamond-shaped quad camera set-up at the rear and punch-hole display which houses 32MP camera for selfies. This phone comes in two versions of 8GB RAm, + 128GB storage priced at CNY 2698, approx. Rs. 28,000 and the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage priced at CNY 2998, approx. Rs. 31,000. This phone will go on sale in China from 22nd November in Black, Blue and Light Blue colors.
The Vivo S5 comes with a 3D curved back design with a gradient finish. It features a 6.44 inch full HD+ (1080×2400) Super AMOLED display with 20:9 aspect ratio and 91.38% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 712 processor with Adreno 616 GPU and is paired with 8GB LPPDDR4x RAM with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. It is fuelled by 4100mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging.
For imaging, this phone is equipped with diamond-shaped four cameras comprising of 48MP primary camera with f/1.79 aperture, LED flash; 8MP secondary camera with f/2.2 ultra wide angle aperture, 5MP depth sensor with f/2.48 aperture and 2MP camera with f/2.4 macro aperture. For selfie, it has 32MP camera with f/2.45 aperture.
For security, this phone has in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature. It runs Android 9 Pie with Funtouch OS 9.2 on top. It offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack.
Vivo has not made it clear yet when this phone will be arriving in India.
