Vivo is on rolls in India! After the successful launch of Vivo V5, the company has now introduced another selfie-focussed phone, Vivo V5 Plus in India. The highlight of this phone is its Dual camera set-up in the front. This phone is priced Rs. 27,980 and available in Gold color only. The V5 Plus has refined metal body with curved edges, narrow bezels which result in comfortable hold and easy to operate with singel hand. This phone will go on sale from 1st February and the pre-booking will begin from 24th of January.
The focus of V5 Plus is on its selfie capabilities. This phone is mounted with two cameras on the front – 20 Megapixel and 8 Megapixel. The 20 Megapixel camera comes with Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens system, Moonlight Glow flash and the second 8 Megapixel camera has been given to capture depth of field and provide Bokeh effect. This phone has 16MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus.
The V5 Plus sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels resolution) Full HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. This phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is not expandable. It runs Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The V5 Plus gets its juice from 3055mAh battery that comes with Vivo’s twin-charging engine technology for faster charging. It also has a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button. This phone has Hybrid SIM slots. On the connectivity front, the V5 Plus offers options of 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. This phone comes with AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip for providing exhilirating audio quality. This phone has dimensions of 152.8×74.00×7.26 mm and its weight is 158.6 grams.
In our opinion, this phone is priced on higher side. Except its front camera, rest of the features cannnot challenge the other highly popular OnePlus 3T smartphone which comes with Snapdragon 821 processor combined with 6GB RAM and 3400mAh battery with Dash charging which charges from zero to 100% in less than 40 minutes. OnePlus 3T is priced Rs. 29,999.
