Vivo had announced Vivo V5Plus IPL Limited Edition smartphone in Hyderabad on April 4th 2017 to celebrate the 10 glorious years of IPL, country’s biggest sporting extravaganza. At the time of launch, Vivo did not announce price of the limited edition of Vivo V5 Plus. Today, the company has announced its price and which is Rs. 25,990. It will go on sale on Flipkart.com, modern retail stores and Vivo exclusive stores from 10th April.
You may recall that regular Vivo V5 Plus was launched at Rs. 27,980 in the month of February this year. The Vivo V5 Plus IPL Limited Edition comes in matte Black color and sports an 18-carat VIVOIPL logo engraved at the back. Rest of the features of this phone are same as provided in regular Vivo V5 Plus.
The main USP of V5 Plus Limited Edition is its selfie capabilities. This phone is mounted with two cameras on the front – 20 Megapixel and 8 Megapixel. The 20 Megapixel camera comes with Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens system, Moonlight Glow flash and the second 8 Megapixel camera has been given to capture depth of field and provide Bokeh effect. This phone has 16MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus.
This phone sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels resolution) Full HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. This phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is not expandable. It runs Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The V5 Plus gets its juice from 3055mAh battery that comes with Vivo’s twin-charging engine technology for faster charging. It also has a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button. This phone has Hybrid SIM slots. On the connectivity front, the V5 Plus offers options of 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. This phone comes with AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip for providing exhilirating audio quality.
