Vivo has launched today its mid-segment smartphone in India – Vivo Y200e 5G. This phone is claimed to be India’s first phone to incorporate EcoFiber Leather with a patented Anti-Stain coating providing a leather-like texture while enhancing durability, and eliminating the perception of fragility traditionally associated with leather. To enhance the design aesthetics of this phone, it has the 3D Embossed Line Texture, Decorative Camera Ring, Metallic High-Gloss Frame, and Ultra-Slim Design with a 2.5D Flat Design.
On the hardware front, the Y200e 5G sports a 6.67-inch (2400 ×1080 pixels) 120Hz Ultra Vision AMOLED Punch Hole Display. The display is certified by SGS Low Blue Light Eye Care for protection of users’ eyes. This phone is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor with Adreno 613 GPU and is paired with 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.2) storage which can be extended up to 1TB with microSD card. This phone also comes with 8GB of additional RAM with Extended RAM 3.0. This phone is packed with 5000mAh battery and 44W flash charge.
On the camera front, this phone is equipped with 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture supported by 2MP portrait camera with f/2.4 aperture and 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera has an Aura Screen Light for natural-looking selfies. The Portrait Bokeh feature, available for both rear and front cameras, offers adjustable Bokeh levels to make subjects stand out. For night photography, the Y200e 5G introduces the Super Night Mode, which enhances brightness, vividness, and clarity in low light or nighttime environments, providing better imaging results. This phone also has Flicker Sensor for shooting in indoor lighting conditions, minimizing flickering for a cleaner visual effect.
This phone runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. It has In-display fingerprints sensor and is Dust and Splash resistant with IP54 certification. This phone offers connectivity options of 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, USB Type-C and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz). This phone also features a 300%-volume Audio Booster and Dual Stereo Speaker setup. This phone is manufactured at vivo’s Greater Noida facility.
The vivo Y200e 5G comes in two colors of Saffron Delight and Black Diamond. The smartphone is priced at INR 19,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant and INR 20,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and will be available for pre-booking starting today on Flipkart, vivo India e-store, and across all partner retail stores.
