Western Digital has launched today its redesigned iconic My Passport My Book hard drive lines. These drives were created in partnership with fuseproject, an award-winning industrial design and branding firm. The new drives have textured design and also include password protection and hardware encryption for security of the stored content.
My Passport portable hard drives come in four vivid colors – Black, Red, White and Blue. This drive is so compact that it can fit in the palm of your hand. This is available in 1TB, 2 TB & 4TB capacity. It provides automatic backup and comess with WD Backup software. This drive has password protection feature with 256-bit AES hardware encryption.
My Book is desktop hard drive and has capacity of upto 8TB. It is ideal for high capacity backup for PC and Mac. This drive also incorporate features of password protection with hardware encryption and automatic backup with included WD Backup software.
Both the drives are protected by a 2-year limited warranty and are available at select retailers and distributors around the country. My Passport has a suggested retail price of Rs 7,980 (1TB) whereas My Book drives have a suggested retail price starting at Rs 13,050 (3TB).
