Xiaomi India has introduced a new product for Smart Homes – Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P. It is equipped with Laser Distance Sensor (LDS) navigation system, 2-in-1 sweeping & mopping functionalities, smart app control, and quad-core Cortex-A7 processor. This robot is capable of thorough and efficient cleaning of every nook and corner of your home.
Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P is an intelligent home cleaning device equipped with 12 different multi-directional sensors and a dedicated Laser Distance Sensor (LDS) navigation system that can scan complex environments accurately and avoid obstacles during the cleaning process. Featuring the latest Laser Distance Sensor (LDS), Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P can scan a surrounding in 360° with an 8-meter range up to six times per second. The sampling rate is up to 2016 times per second with an accuracy deviation of less than 2%.
It supports two kinds of cleaning modes – Sweeping & Mopping mode and Sweeping only mode. The Sweeping & Mopping mode and the Sweeping Only mode use the 2-in-1 tank and a 550 ml large dust box (included with the product box) respectively. The robot can simulate manual cleaning with dual-direction repeated wiping to provide a thorough and deep clean. It has a 3200mAh lithium battery which ensures up to 110 minutes of cleaning. Its intelligent, electronically-controlled water tank comes with three gears of water for different floor materials. An outlet sensing technology makes the device immobile when it runs out of water.
The slim and compact design enables it to clean, even the narrow spaces. With the high-end brushless motor and new air duct design, the maximum suction can reach 2100Pa for effective cleaning. Powered by an anti-collision sensor, an anti-fall sensor coupled with LDS navigation based on SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) algorithm the device makes accurate navigation, crosses obstacles and senses the surrounding environment in a smart way.
The vacuum cleaner has built-in Wi-Fi capability and can connect to the Mi Home app to provide better control options. Users can view the virtual map that the vacuum “sees”. Users can also set automated cleaning schedules and give one a view of the cleaning history. Using the app it is possible to even schedule the cleaning of a particular partition at any specific time.
The quad-core Cortex-A7 processor, coupled with the dual-core Mali 400 GPU enables powerful computing performance, faster collection of data and information processing. With the help of SLAM algorithm, the robot can build maps in real time and plan more reasonable cleaning paths with the quad-core CPU.
Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P will be available on Mi.com through crowd funding starting 17 April, 2020 at 12 noon. It will retail for INR 17,999/- and is available with a no cost EMI option starting INR 2,999/- per month for six months.
