Xiaomi has launched in India Redmi 3S+ smartphone which will be sold exclusively via offline channels to target those customers who are still not comfortable buying online. The Redmi 3S+ has price tag of Rs. 9,499 and comes in Gold, Silver and Grey color variants. It will be sold by more than 7,500 retailers in India and will also be available across key Large Format Retailers such as Poorvika, Sangeetha, BIG C, and LOT mobiles.
On the specifications front, the Redmi 3S+ sports a 5-inch HD IPS display (1280 x 720 pixels). It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, 64-bit processor with Adreno 505 GPU combined with 2GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage, expandable to 128GB with microSD. This phone is packed with massive 4100mAh battery.
This is Dual SIM supporting phone and runs on MIUI based on Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS. It is mounted with 13MP rear camera with PDAF, LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture and 5MP front-facing camera, f/2.2 aperture. Both the cameras have 1080p video recording capability.
This phone incorporates Fingerprint sensor in the front on the home buttton for fast unlocking. On the connectivity front, this phone offers options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS.
This phone is variant of Redmi 3S Prime which was launched in August at Rs. 8999, and only difference is in RAM capability. The Redmi 3S Prime has 3GB of RAM whereas this phone has 2GB RAM. Rest of the features are same.
