Xiaomi has launched its first tablet, Xiaomi Pad 5 in India with host of features at very attractive price point. This tablet comes in Cosmic Gray colour and is priced Rs. 26,999 for the 128GB storage variant and Rs. 28,999 for the 256GB model. As an introductory offer, the Xiaomi Pad 5 will be available at Rs. 24,999 for the 128GB model and Rs. 26,999 for the 256GB variant until May 7. Moreover, Rs. 2000 instant discount with HDFC Bank cards and EMI can also be availed. It will be available from May 3 through Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and select offline retailers. Xiaomi Pen and Keyboard are optional items and will be sold separately. However, their prices have not been revealed.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 features a 10.95 inch 2.5K+ (2,560×1,600 pixels) display with 120Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio. The display comes with Dolby Vision support. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor with Adreno 640 GPU which is paired with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. This tablet is packed with 8,720mAh battery with 33W charging. This tablet comes with a 13 MP rear camera with a dual-LED flash, supports up to 4K video recording at 30fps frame rate and can be used to scan documents at a high resolution and an 8 MP front camera for video conferencing.
This tablet runs on Android 11 with MIUI for Pad optimised. It is also equiiped with Quad Speakers with Dolby Atmos and feature of channel mapping. Xiaomi Pad 5 also comes with optional Xiaomi Smart Pen which is light-weight and comfortable to hold with a slender body and excellent grip flaunting two buttons that allow users to launch Smart Notes and take screenshots. It comes with 4096 level pressure sensitivity that accurately senses changes in pen pressure allowing precise, smooth pen strokes. The pen can be charged magnetically by placing on the top of the tablet.
This tablet offers connectivity options of USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS etc. This tablet features slim bezels and a svelte aluminium frame making it one of the lightest tablets at just 511 grams and 6.95-inches thick.
