As expected and written by us two days ago, ZTE of China has introduced their new brand in India- Nubia with the launch of the first Nubia Z9 Mini smartphone. The Nubia Z9 Mini is priced Rs. 16,999 and will be sold exclusively by Amazon.in from today onwards. This phone will be available in black and white colors. The Nubia Z9 Mini is 4G LTE compatible and will work with Indian networks.
The Nubia Z9 Mini features a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels with 441 ppi) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Nubia Z9 boasts of borderless screen and is bezel-free. This phone incorporates Frame Interactive Technology (FIT) that allows users to control the phone by touching just the edge of the screen.
The Nubia Z9 Mini is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (quad-core 1.5GHz + quad-core 1GHz) processor coupled with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and 16GB inbuilt storage, which is expandable upto 128GB via microSD card.
On the imaging front, the Nubia Z9 Mini comes with the Sony Exmor R 16MP rear camea and 8MP front camera, which is supported by the NeoVision 5.0 SLR System which enables the user with excellent manual photography possibilities. The camera also has a 2.0 aperture that perfects blurred backgrounds in the day and is claimed to capture good images even in the night or in fading light. On top of it, the camera has DSLR comparable manual settings, various professional photography modes and effective image stabilization capabilities to click the higly professional and crisp images.
The Nubia Z9 Mini is packed with 3000mAh removable battery , and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Nubia UI 2.8 skin on it. This smartphone is Dual-SIM device and support Nano-SIM.
We were expecting that this smartphone will be aggressively priced in the range of Rs. 12,000. To our opinion, the price is on bit higher side. This is probably the reason that the company has not launched their other high-end smartphones- Nubia Z9 and Nubia Z9 Max. These two models will be launched in due course in India, but the company has not given any time schedule.
