Chinese handsets maker ZTE has expanded its portfolio of smartphones and launched today mid-range smartphone V5 at an event in New Delhi. The V5 is now available online exclusively on Snapdeal.com at Rs. 10,999/-.
The ZTE V5 comes with a 5 inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display with OGS and Dragontrail Glass. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, paired with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which is extendable to 32GB via microSD card. This smartphone runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2 OS with ZTE’s Nubia 2.0 UI superimposed on it.
The V5 is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear Sony Exmor CMOS sensor with LED flash and the f/2.2 aperture It also houses a 5-megapixel front camera with BSI sensor. For clicking good selfies, the front camera has super-wide angle, a front face light metering, independent focus and metering features. The V5 boasts of high speed recording and the company claims that it can click 120 frames per second. Besides aforesaid features, it also has noise suppression MIC for better voice quality and exposure lock.
The V5 is packed with 2400mAh battery and for connectivity options, it supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro USB, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS etc. This smartphone is available in white color only.
Speaking at the launch event, Bill Yuan, CEO Mobile Business, ZTE India revealed that ZTE plans to launch their flagship Nubia range of smartphones in India which are successful in global markets where they have been launched. Speaking to Techvorm at the launch event, Bill Yuan informed that they also have plans to launch the devices in the range of Rs. 10,000 upwards in India in the coming months. On being asked whether they have plans to launch the smartwatch in the near future, he told us that the smartwatch is under development and refused to give time frame when the same will be launched in India.
