Huawei of China has claimed that its newly launched Honor 6 smartphone has surpassed over ten thousand units sold in first 48 hours through Flipkart. Honor is Huawei’s online brand & two key Honor devices – Honor 6 smartphone & Honor T1 tablet were announced in India on 29th Sept, 2014. The Honor 6 is priced at Rs. 19,999.
Since its commercial debut on October 6, the phone is estimated to be selling at 3-4 units per minute during the first 48 hours. Huawei & Flipkart announced this tie-up at the onset of the festive season & Honor 6 was made available for sale on the “The Big Billion Day” with the objective to reach out to maximum customers pan India.
Honor 6 has made a new record for Huawei by generating sales faster than any of its predecessors in India with a whopping sales numbers. This is a remarkable achievement for Huawei as the device has seen an overwhelming response from consumers across the country.
Not only in India, Honor 6 has also received tremendous response in China. According to Huawei, they have sold 2.5M units in 3 months in China and maintains as one of the best selling phone at jd.com, the biggest B2C website in China. The brand also created a history by becoming the first Chinese brand to enter the Top 100 Best Global Brands report by Interbrand.
The Honor 6 smartphone sports a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) with a pixel density of 445ppi with Corning Gorilla glass protection, and is powered by Huawei’s octa-core Hi Silicon Kirin 920 processor, with Mali T628 GPU. This smartphon has massive 3GB of RAM and comes with expandable 16GB ROM.
The Honor 6 is also equipped with a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash, BSI sensor, and f2.0 aperture, and for the selfie enthusiasts, the company has provided a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. This smartphone is fuelled by powerful 3100mAh battery. For connectivity options, the Honor 6 provides support for Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE and 3G.
The Honor 6 is a single SIM device and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with Huawei’s Emotion UI 2.3.
