Tomorrow is 7 th March, 2012, when Apple is organising an event in San Francisco where possibly, iPad 3 may be announced. As expected, many technology blogs are predicting what will be specifications of this new device and how it will be priced.
Buzz is that the much-awaited next generation iPad will be called iPad HD instead of iPad 3. According to a report in CNET, “A developer who’s previously provided reliable information with respect to things Apple and otherwise states the next iPad uses the HD moniker instead of going with iPad 3. Apple has been known to tack simple modifiers onto its product names before, so a name like the iPad HD wouldn’t be unprecedented.”
Another rumour doing round is that that Apple will not raise prices for the highly anticipated tablet and will keep its current pricing structure for all iPad 3 models. This is good news for the hordes of shoppers expected to line up for the tablet once it’s released and is in line with Apple’s usual approach of keeping prices the same even as it updates popular products.
And if you are planning to buy iPad 2, wait for some time and you will probably be able to get good bargain. When the iPad 2 was released, the price of the original iPad was dropped by about $100 until it sold out. Already, Best Buy in US has discounted the iPad 2 by $50.
Last month, Apple emailed invitations to media members for an event Wednesday in San Francisco. The invitation didn’t say specifically that the next iPad will make its debut, but does feature an image of a hand touching the iPad’s Calendar app icon for Wednesday, along with the message, “We have something you really have to see. And touch.”
We are just few hours away from the most awaited event and keep your fingers crossed if you are Apple lovers!
