After stupendous success of its flagship device Galaxy S III, Samsung is on the verge of releasing its latest flagship smartphone – Galaxy S IV. Many bloggers and tech sites have started speculating when this device will be launched – it could be in MWC in February in Barcelona or in a special event in March or before? For this, everybody will have to wait till such time when Samsung breaks this mystery.
Although no confirmed news has emerged so far about launch of Galaxy S IV, yet a Korean website Money Today has reported that Samsung is aiming to sell 10 million Galaxy S IV smartphones every month starting from its release date and then throughout the year, smashing the sales of the Galaxy S III.
Industry sources have confirmed that Samsung has been ordering huge numbers of parts and components for the Samsung Galaxy S IV amounting to around 10 million units for the first month. It took Samsung 50 days to achieve the first 10 million sales mark for its current flagship Galaxy S III smartphone since its debut in May last year. The figure hit 20 million in September with the company saying that brisk sales of the S III are helping it retain dominance in the smartphone market.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is one of the most eagerly anticipated phones of 2013 and rumored to include a full-HD 1080p 4.99″ inch AMOLED display, 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera, Android Jelly Bean, Exynos 5 Octa chipset and an S-Pen stylus. It is also likely to come with wireless charging capabilities.The clockspeed of the new processor is expected to be 1.8 GHz and the device would come with 2 GB of RAM.
Money Today online portal also states that Samsung is likely to introduce 12″ inch and 14″ inch tablet models apart from the currently rumored 7″ inch, 10.1″ inch and the 8″ inch Galaxy Note.
