HTC One Max phablet, which was announced in October, has been launched in India at an unimpresive best buy price of Rs. 56,490 and MRP of Rs. 61,490. This phablet comes with 5.9 inch HD display, and was anticipated for quite sometime and is enlarged version of HTC One smartphone. Lookwise, this phablet has the same look as of HTC One flagship, but has a removable back cover.

This phablet is equipped with HTC’s 4MP UltraPixel Camera at the rear while there is a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera and also comes with HTC Zoe and HTC BoomSound, first seen on HTC One, but does not have Beats Audio sound enhancement technology.This device also does not have optical image stabilization. Connectivity features on the HTC One Max include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, DLNA and HTC Connect. HTC is also offering 50GB of additional free Google Drive online storage to HTC One max owners. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box with HTC’ Sense 5.5 UI on top.
According to HTC, its Sense 5.5 upgrade comes with a more social, personalised HTC BlinkFeed that can be further refined by customisable topic categories and new integration with premium content providers including Instagram and Google+. Up to 120 articles can also be downloaded for offline viewing.
Like latest introduced iPhone 5S, the HTC One Max comes with the fingerprint scanner, which is located on the back of the device. The fingerprint scanner allows users to lock or unlock the screen and quickly launch up to three favourite applications by assigning an individual finger to each.
HTC One Max hAS microSD card slot, and is packed with the large 3300mAh embedded battery. It has optional HTC Power Flip Case, a stylish 1200mAh battery expansion, which offers both protection and extra juice.
The HTC One Max will face stif competiton from Samsung Galaxy Note 3, LG Optimus G2 and the upcoming Nokia phablet.
