BSNL, a Govt. of India undertaking, in association with domestic manufacturer Pantel Technologies Private Limited, today launched the four mobile devices – Penta Bharat Phone PF300 feature phone for Rs. 1799, the Penta PS501 & PS650 smartphones for Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 7,999, respectively, and Penta T-Pad WS707C tablet at Rs. 6,999. The smartphones and tablet run on Android Jelly Bean OS. These devices come pre-bundled with the BSNL Internet and Voice plans.
Penta Bharat phone sports a 3” screen, and this is JAVA enabled feature phone. It allows internet browsing facilities including Email, Facebook, downloading of music and videos, and Java games. Bharat Phone has Dual SIM functionalitywith Dual Standby, and comes with 1.3 Mega Pixel rear Camera; Bluetooth for superfast sharing of files; and is packed with a 1800 mAh Lithium-Ion battery that can deliver upto 8 hrs of talk time and 15 days standby time, as claimed by Pantel Technology. This feature phone has 64MB RAM &64MB of internal storage, SMS Scheduler, rich multimedia gaming experience and mobile tracker. This phone also supports Auto Voice Call Recording; SMS Scheduler and Stereo FM & Recording. This device comes pre-bundled with 1200 minutes of free talk time on the BSNL network.
Penta Smart PS501 smartphone sports 5” IPS display, and is powered by 1.2GHz A7 Dual-Core CPU combined with 512MB DDRIII RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Penta Smart PS501 comes with 15GB Cloud storage and pre-loaded Anti-Virus protection. The device comes with a 5MP panoramic rear camera, GPS, Blue-tooth, Hot-Spot, Gesture Motion texting and VGA front camera for video conferencing. This smartphone has 3D video playback capability and FM Radio with recording and inbuilt graphic equalizer which gives optimum audio quality. BSNL is throwing in 3GB of 3G data and 300 mins of talk time free on the BSNL network.
PentaSmart PS650 smartphone is 3G capable and sports 6.5” screen. This is powered by 1.2GHz A7 Dual-Core CPU with the independent graphics controller, MALI 400MP GPU, coupled with 512MB RAM & 4GB internal storage. This phone is equipped with a 2MP panoramic rear camera with auto-focus. It is packed with a 2500 mAh battery, which will give 100 hrs standby time. It comes with Voice & Data connectivity with 3G micro SIM Slot; Wi-Fi, Bluetooth & GPS. It has features like Gesture Typing; Speech to text, Quick navigation screen, Voice based Search and Google NOW. The company is offering 3GB of 3G Data and 300 mins of talk time free on the BSNL network.
Penta T-Pad WS707C tablet sports 7″ multi touch, capacitive screen with 800×480 resolution, and is powered by Dual-Core CPU, and Mali400 GPU for graphics, coupled with 512 MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. Its memory can be expnaded upto 32GB via micro-SD card. This tablet is equipped with 2MP rear camera and 0.3 MP front camera, and 3000 mAh battery. For connectivity options, it has WiFi, BT,voice calling,micro-USB and 3G Dongle support. It also has 3GB of 3G Data and 300 mins of talk time free on the BSNL network.
