Samsung has expanded its portfolio of Galaxy range of smartphones and launched today Galaxy Grand 2 smartphone at an event in Mumbai. Samsung has not reveled the price of its Galaxy Grand 2, which would be available in the first week of January across India. Samsung India just gave a hint that it would be priced in the range of Rs. 22,900 – 24,900. Going by this indication, the new iteration of Samsung would be priced approx. Rs. 23,999. This phablet can be pre-booked on the Samsung mobile e -store starting today. This phablet is the successor of Samsung’s highly successful Galaxy Grand smartphone, which debuted in India in the month of January for Rs. 21,500, and was the most successful mid-range phablet in India.
The GALAXY Grand 2 sports a 5.2 inch HD TFT display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, and is powered by Quad Core 1.2GHz processor, coupled with 1.5GB RAM, 8GB Internal Memory, which can be expanded upto 64GB via microSD card. On the contrry, the Galaxy Grand features 5 inch display and has 1GB Ram. Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 phablet will run on Android Jelly Bean version 4.3, and is packed with 2,600mAh battery. As per Samsung, the battery will deliver up to 10 hours of playback and 17 hours of calls. Connectivity options on the Galaxy Grand 2 include WiFi, BlueTooth 4.0, GPS, and USB 2.0. The dimension of this device is 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm, and it weighs 163g.
