Asus India has started sending out media invites for the launch of its latest flagship smartphone, Asus ZenFone 2, which was unveiled for the first time earlier this year in CES, Las Vegas.
The Asus ZenPhone 2 is expected to be launched in India in three variants. All the variants feature a 5.5-inch Full HD (1280x1920p) IPS display with a wide 178-degree viewing angle. The only difference between each variant is RAM, ROM, Camera and Processor capacities. The top-end variant of ZenFone 2 is packed with a 2.3GHz 64-bit Intel Atom processor Z3580, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The other variants will have 16 and 32GB storage and 2GB RAM.
The other USP of all ZenFone 2 variants are that they have 4G/LTE connectivity for faster data speeds of up to 150Mbit/s. This is Dual-SIM device with Dual Active mode, which will allow users to have two active phone lines.
The top-end Asus ZenFone 2 is equipped with a 13MP PixelMaster camera with an f/2.0 wide-aperture lens, and also houses a 5MP front-facing camera with a wide, 85-degree field of view for taking selfies.
This phone runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with a new version of Asus ZenUI on top. The Asus ZenFone 2 is backed by a massive 3000mAh battery.
This phone will be available in Osmium Black, Sheer Gold, Glacier Gray, Glamor Red and Ceramic White colours. It is expected to have a price tag of Rs. 20,000 to create flutter in the high-end market of smartphones.
