hike messenger has updated its messenger app and released the hike 4.0, which the company claims is the biggest update in its history. The latest release of hike 4.0 will be available for Android users on the Google Play Store starting today and Apple users on iOS App Store next week. The updated hike 4.0 incorporates various new features.
Acccording to the company, hike 4.0 is 5x faster than its predecessor and is designed for the next billion Indian consumers, who are experiencing internet for the first time. The big new update has been optimized for low-end phones and particularly extremely poor network conditions prevalent in India.
The latest release of hike app has beautiful new design including 10+ new features such as ‘Sticker Suggestions’, that recommends stickers as you type allowing you to easily express yourself in a diverse catalogue of over 5000 stickers on hike. Hike now also allows up to 500 members in a single Group Chat and introduced the ability to have multiple admins in a Group Chat to manage groups better making it extremely easy for big groups to be managed on hike.
In addition, gearing up for 4G, hike has introduced the ability to transfer any kind of file whether it be Documents, PDF, Zip & all other kinds of files up to a 100 MB each turning hike into a full functioning messaging client for any need. To add to the fun, hike has also launched photo filters & doodles to allow consumers to have fun and spice up their photos amongst a few other big upgrades to the app, as stated by the company in its press release.
Hike has also launched ‘News’ on hike, a service that allows users on the platform to get quick bite sized news updates in just under a 100 characters.
Hike Messenger has also announced that its users now exchange a mammoth 20 billion messages on a monthly basis. The number has doubled in less than a year since the company’s previous announcement of 10 billion monthly messaging volume in August last year.
