As expected, Xiaomi of China has announced its new Redmi Note Prime smartphone in India. This phone is priced Rs. 8,499 and will be available exclusively on Amazon.in and Mi.com, starting 10.00am on 15th December 2015.
According to Xiaomi, Redmi Note Prime is the second Mi phone to be manufactured in India in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with Foxconn Technology Group. Redmi 2 Prime was the first Made in India phone launched by the company in the month of August.
Redmi Note Prime is an enhanced version of Redmi Note 4G with dual SIM slots, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM (expandable to 32GB via microSD card) and a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. Redmi Note Prime features a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with 720×1280 pixels resolution. It is packed with a 3100mAh battery.
This phone is equipped with 13MP rear camera with f/2.4 aperture and 5MP front facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The Redmi Note Prime runs on jaded Android 4.4 KitKat-based MIUI 7. It supports Dual-SIM and is 4G enabled smartphone. It also offers other connectivity options of 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0, GPRS/ EDGE,GPS/ A-GPS etc.
