Freecharge has partnered with Haldirams to ease payment process for consumers and introduce a swifter and secure way to make cashless payments. Freecharge wallet can now be used to pay at 41 Haldirams outlets across 11 cities in India. Customers can use their mobile phones to make payments and complete the transaction with a secure On-The-Go-Pin in less than 10 seconds. The wallet will go live across all stores by next week.
Earlier this year, Freecharge also partnered with McDonalds and Café Coffee Day to influence the daily payment habits of consumers and get them used to digital payments. The speed and security of the FreeCharge Wallet make it an excellent partner for Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs); where time spent at the self-service counter greatly impacts the customer experience.
This partnership will further amplify the efforts in narrowing the gap between online and offline retail experience for customers.
Commenting on the partnership, Govind Rajan, CEO, Freecharge said, “We are pleased to partner with Haldirams, the largest quick service restaurant in North India. Being a brand which is deeply associated with celebrations and occasions, Haldirams is already an integral part of people’s lives. The partnership will help us expand our offline footprint and enable over two million consumers on a monthly basis from tier I and II cities be part of digital payments ecosystems. We are excited to enable consumers from cities like Bhiwadi, Rewari, Sonepat, Panipat, Zirakpur replace cash from their day-to-day transactions by using the Freecharge Wallet.”
