Oppo A37 With 5 Inch HD Display, 8MP Rear Camera Launched At Rs. 11,990

After launching successfully selfie-focussed Oppo F1 and Oppo F1 Plus in India, the leading Chinese handsets maker has now announced entry-level Oppo A37 smartphone in India. This phone will be available in two metallic colors – Gold and Grey. Priced at Rs. 11,990, this phone will start selling in India from 1st July.

Like Oppo F1 and F1 Plus, Oppo A37 also comes with powerful camera hardware and software. It is equipped with 5 MP front camera with a 1/4-inch sensor and OmniBSI+ (backside illumination). Its large 1.4?m pixels is claimed to be the biggest available in this price segment and is capable of increasing light sensitivity and reduce noise for taking good selfies in low-light also. This phone sports an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture. It is capable of full-HD (1080p) video recording.

This phone incorporates Beautify 4.0 technology which supports 7 different levels of intelligent beautification, with two modes for different skin tones to enhance the images, as claimed by the company.

The Oppo A37 has 5-inch HD IPS 2.5D display with resolution of 720×1280 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under the hood is Snapdragon 410 ( MSM 8916) Quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno A306. It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, expandable by another 128 GB via microSD card.

image006This phone comes with triple-slot card tray which means, you can insert two 4G SIMs and a microSD card. It runs ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is packed with a 2630mAh non-removable battery. It is a sleek device and weighs just 136 grams.

This phone is compatible with 4G LTE Indian bands and supports speeds of up to 150 Mbps for downloads. It also offers other standard connectivity options of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB etc.

This phone does not have fingerprint sensor which has now become standard feature on the phones nowadays. This phone will find tough competition from recently launched Honor 5C and LeEco Le 2 whiich are priced Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 11,999 respectively.
