Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is set to launch its most publicised affordable Honor 6X smartphone with Dual rear camera set-up in India on 24th January. This phone has also been announced in the ongoing CES 2017. This phone is being touted as Swagphone for its camera, build and other features which are quite commendable as I have been using this phone for quite sometimes now.
The Honor 6X has a metallic finish which gives it premium look which you can see in our video appended below. This phone has 5.5-inch full HD display (1080 x 1920 pixels) with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 655 octa-core chipset (4 X 2.1GHz + 4 X 1.7GHz speeds) and is coupled with Mali T830-MP2 GPU. This phone comes in two variants of 3GB/4GB of RAM with 32GB/ 64GB of internal storage which can be further extended upto 128GB via microSD card.
The USP of this phone is its two rear cameras for snapping very sharp images. The primary camera has 12MP sensor with LED Flash, 6P lens, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF, aperture F/0.95-F/16 and the secondary rear camera has 2MP sensor which helps to get depth of field and the result is sharp and crisp image as shown below. The rear camera is also capable of video recording of upto 1080p resolution.
This phone is also equipped with 8 mega-pixel front shooter for capturing selfies which also produces good results.
This phone incorporates fingerprint sensor on the back which is very fast to unlock the phone and has never failed me during my usage of this phone. The phone gets its juice from 3340mAh battery with support for fast charging and is good enough to last for full day. This phone offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The Honor 6X supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano+ nano/microSD) and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on the top.
This phone will be available in gold, silver and gray colors and is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 18,000. We shall come to know about its price on 24th January. Stay tuned for more details and our upcoming reviews!
