Samsung today launched Galaxy Note Smartphone in New Delhi, which is based on the latest version of Google’s flagship Android mobile operating system, named Android Ice Cream Sandwich viz. Android 4.0.
The Galaxy Note is a hybrid between a smartphone and a tablet. It features a 5.3″ inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. With this revolutionary smartphone, as stated by Mr. Ranjit Yadav, Samsung’s Mobile and IT Country Head, you can make calls, text, sketch and write notes, and browse the web on a larger-than-phone screen.
The rear of the device has an 8 MP camera with LED flash and the Front has a 2 MP. The rear camera is capable of full HD 1080p recording at 24/30fps. Samsung Galaxy Note rakes in blowing hardware specifications like 1.2 GHz dual core processor and the facility of fourth generation (4G) telephony services. It supports 16 GB internal memory expandable up to 32 GB via micro SD card.
Apart from being a capacitive touch screen, the device also supports S Pen (Advanced smart pen) for additional inputs. The device runs on a standard Li-on 2,500 mAh battery. According to Samsung, the battery is strong enough and users can handle enough data /video and texts for longer duration.
The Galaxy Note is priced at Rs 34,990 and shall be available in India this year but no specific date was committed. And as a special incentive to the first 100,000 customers, they will get leather case for the device free of cast and MRP for the same is Rs.2200/-
This device has various features and shall be ideally suitable for film editors, fashion designers, corporates and students, who want to perform various functions on the move, which are normally available on laptops and tablets.

And Galaxy Note excels when we talk about compactness of product and the variety of features offered. But then again, it is a matter of choice of consumer.
Yes, somewhere between a tablet and smart-phone. What’s worth noting is that the price of these 3 products viz. Tablet, Smart-phone (newer galaxy series) and Galaxy Note is almost on the same line. It’s just a matter of choice IMO
Samsung Galaxy Note is a high priced device to be purchased at a price tag of Rs. 34,990 in the Indian market. One can have a smartphone and tablet under the same price tag. So, why going for this product?
