OnePlus today unveiled the OnePlus Watch 2R. It sports a 1.43inch AMOLED Display with brightness of 600 nits, up to 1000 nits in High Brightness mode, 466×466 resolution with 326 PPI.
This watch is packed with the same flagship features as of OnePlus Watch 2, including up to 100-hour battery life and powered with Wear OS by Google (Wear OS 4). Behind the exceptional battery life is OnePlus’s self-developed Dual-Engine Architecture powered by two different flagship chipsets — the Snapdragon W5 performance chipset and the BES 2700 MCU Efficiency chipset. The collaboration between the two chipsets in the OnePlus Watch 2R operates on a synergistic mechanism. The BES2700 Efficiency Chipset, operating on the RTOS platform, adeptly manages background activities and simpler tasks. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon W5 chipset springs into action for more powerful tasks like running popular apps. This optimized approach is made possible by the Wear OS hybrid interface, seamlessly orchestrating the transition between the two chips.
Powered by this unique Dual-Engine Architecture and a 500mAh battery, OnePlus Watch 2R can offer up to 100 hours of regular use with all functionalities accessible in Smart Mode, or up to 48 hours with heavy use. With 7.5W VOOC Fast Charging, the 500mAh battery can be fully charged in 60 minutes. With its 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM configuration, the OnePlus Watch 2R also offers plenty of memory and storage.
Powered with the latest version of Wear OS, the OnePlus Watch 2R comes with your favorite Google apps like Google Assistant, Maps, Wallet, and Calendar. You can also browse for new apps and watch faces from your wrist with the Google Play app. With Fast Pair, you can quickly connect and set up your OnePlus Watch 2R with your OnePlus phone or other supported Android smartphone. Specifically designed for badminton enthusiasts, the watch provides tailored monitoring that captures essential metrics such as swing strength and speed, enabling players to enhance their game effectively. The running mode tracks metrics like ground contact time (GCT), GCT balance, and VO2 max. The OnePlus Watch 2R incorporates dual-frequency GPS for enhanced location tracking accuracy, receiving the L5 GPS signal in addition to the L1 signal. Separate antennas for each GPS signal enhance positioning precision. In addition, the updated workout UI allows you to control your music during your workout with a simple left swipe.
The Watch 2R takes the OHealth app to new heights, particularly in the realm of sleep-tracking analysis. It goes beyond basic monitoring, providing detailed insights into deep sleep, light sleep, REM sleep, awake times, and even sleep breathing rate. Moreover, the Watch 2R evaluates stress levels by analyzing heart rate variability (HRV), allowing you to gain a comprehensive understanding of your overall well-being.
The OnePlus Watch 2R is available in two colorways: Forest Green and Gunmetal Gray.The OnePlus Watch 2R also features bezels with a striking two-tone design, reminiscent of classic chronometers, setting it apart from other smartwatches.
